My name is Branko Ogorelec. IT Business analyst by profession, Shiatsu practitioner by calling, music creative by nature.
I've been mostly hiding under a rock until recent years, busy with the "Know Thyself." It included a tough divorce, losing everything, exploring the limits with fasting, rebuilding the body, learning nutrition empirically on my own body, studying my nervous system's sensitivity and adaptability, singing with my anxiety, dancing with my shadow, giggling with my people-pleasing, learning Shiatsu, working in IT, cycling, molesting the pull-up bar, creating ambient music — flying, falling, slipping, gliding, crying, laughing.
Through the years I learned that the body knows. The mind just needs a little less noise to hear it. The body can build resilience. The mind needs patience in that process.
With patience I reprogrammed my matrix in many ways, here I'll just name a few. I increased my pain tolerance, which seemed almost impossible. I changed from INFJ to ESFJ-A. I adopted cold showers — despite being freakishly cold-sensitive, even to this day. Facing the cold every morning hasn't fixed the sensitivity much. But it has become an integral part of building resilience.
Now, don't get me wrong: sensitivity is not weakness. I carry it with me every day, and it is an integral part of who I am. To navigate this rough world, however, I decided to acquire some toughness as well.
That requires discipline — and discipline is by no means going hard hard hard. Discipline is a very wise, sensible approach to nourishing both sensitivity and toughness. Sensible Warrior lives at that intersection.
